Studio
Andrew Megginson Architecture (AMA) is an award-winning architectural studio founded in Edinburgh in 2015. Working across Scotland and the UK, we specialise in creating beautiful and thoughtful residential architecture informed by our clients and context.
From extensions to new homes or working with listed buildings in both urban and rural environments, we strive to create well considered buildings and spaces that enhance our Clients' living experience producing high quality architecture that works in harmony with the surroundings.
Our design process begins with understanding your unique vision, we then interpret this onto paper which leads to the production of a considered proposal that shall exceed your expectations and excite you.
Working with a network of collaborators, we take the proposal through the necessary statutory approvals to the construction stage. We have a selection of contractors that we have worked with over many years, who we trust and can recommend to you however we always look forward to working with new people.
Co-ordinating with you and the builder, we shape the vision to physical fruition to then enable you to start enjoying your home.
Andrew Megginson
Andrew Megginson studied architecture at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and brings his collective experience and design led approach to shape highly crafted buildings and spaces through rigorous study of context, materiality and detail.
Andrew takes pride in putting his clients at the centre of the design process, listening and creating spaces tailored to their lives. Andrew enjoys building strong, collaborative relationships grounded in trust and care with collaborators and his clients.
